An Introduction to Castlecrag Montesorri School

25 years of excellence in Montessori education.

Castlecrag Montessori School is a parent-run, parent-funded preschool and kindergarten that offers Montessori classes for children aged 3–6 years.

Younger children attend for a half day session (8:30am – noon) and the older children attend for a full day (8:30am – 2.30pm).

The school offers before and after school care as an optional extra for children enrolled at the school, the program is called CASA.

The class is supported by highly skilled and experienced teaching staff, qualified in Early Childhood and Montessori Education. Our educators are dedicated to creating a warm and safe environment for children to grow and discover. All of our teachers have been with the school for many years.

The facilities include a large open and inviting fully equipped Montessori environment. The children also have access to a large outdoor natural play area. This beautiful environment has been carefully landscaped to promote creative play, encourage confident exploration and help children develop an affinity for nature.

The School is licensed by the Department of Education and Communities (DEC) and is registered by the NSW Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards to provide kindergarten level education. Castlecrag Montessori School is a not-for–profit Incorporated Association. It is managed by a volunteer parent committee with the assistance of a part time administrator and the teaching staff. The operation of the school is governed by numerous detailed policies and by the Rules of Association, which were developed when the school was formally established in 1990.
